The search for a new president has officially begun as President Tom Fallo is set to retire in February 2016 after 25 years of service.

Community College Search Services was chosen in March as the consulting firm that will head the recruitment process.

Applications for the position are due by July 31. Two rounds of interviews are planned and the appointment of a new president is expected by October, according to the presidential search timeline.

The search committee is looking for an individual with strong leadership to lead the community college district in diversity, advocacy, governance, facilities management and partnerships, according to the search brochure.
