The Extended Opportunity Program and Services office is hosting a “Masquerade Celebration Comedy Affair” fundraiser on Saturday, March 14 at 6 p.m. in the East Dining Room above the bookstore.
The EOPS office, which was established in 1969, is designed to help with the success and retention of students by helping them achieve their education.
To help raise money for these and the other various services they provide, EOPS is hosting a Mardi Gras-themed event to further assist the students in their program.
According to their flier, the tickets to the event are $20 but a full table can be reserved for $160.
“I think it’s going to be well-attended,” Dawn Reid, the director of the EOPS said.
The event will include various activities including comedians, a silent auction, and even dancing towards the end of the night.
“We haven’t done it in about 6 or 7 years,” Valerie Doby, the EOPS Project Specialist, said. “This time we’re changing it up to make it fun for the students and those who attend.”
