Long lines, busy schedules, parking wars and the fight for the classes you need are the average outcome for the beginning of the semester. Throughout the chaos that is the beginning of the semester, students seek solitude any which way they can. There is one particular place of solitude that students and faculty alike frequently flock to. Many names describe this place such as, the loo, the john, the can, the powder room and the lavatory. The most common name however would be simply the bathroom.
With so many students, faculty and staff members the upkeep of the bathrooms is extremely essential. Custodial workers can be seen around restocking and maintaining the campus bathrooms.
“Yeah there were a couple times when I was in there and someone was cleaning up,” Ashley Morgan, 25, English major said.
When it comes to the viewpoints and opinions of most of the bathrooms on campus, a few students seem to have had positive experiences.
“The bathrooms here are clean and empty, I never have to wait too long,” Justine Robledo, 18, undecided major said.
“They’re better than High school bathrooms.” Robledo said.
Students tend to notice that the work custodial workers are paying off this semester.
“Bathrooms on campus are great, well maintained, never even seen a clogged toilet,” Adrianna Lida, 19, Cosmetology Major.
There are also those students with negative experiences of the bathrooms around campus.
“Usually they are clean but some are always messy, today in the social science building I had to wait ten minutes and the line was out the door it was a mess there,” Breanna Rodriguez, 22, communications major said.
