More than 70 colleges packed into the South side of the Student Activities Center Monday, as the campus Fall Transfer Day Fair looked to accommodate just about everyone who attended the event.
In addition to the 16 California State Universities, there were also 11 Universities of California represented.
Along with these in-state colleges, historically black colleges, such as Howard University and Spellman, were in attendance.
“We had a ton of students here gathering materials, talking to the reps, asking questions,” Sue Oda-Omori, Transfer Center coordinator, said. “It was great to see people explorer the different options that are available here.”
Despite the rush of students, some like Ben Wohtak, political science major, were able to get to the busiest of booths in order to get information they were looking for on their repsective university choices.
“I rushed over here because I was in a class that just ended because I really wanted to see Long Beach,” Wohtak said.
