Saturday, November 1, 12:15 p.m. – Officers ran a license plate check to vehicle in Lot K. The officer discovered the vehicle was stolen and conducted a felony stop. The driver had a receipt to prove he had purchased the vehicle and did not have knowledge that it was stolen. The vehicle was towed and the owner was contacted.
Thursday, October 30, 8:41 a.m. – An officer observed a bicyclist that ran a stop sign. The officer stopped the bicyclist and discovered she was on probation for a felony hit and run. She also was carrying a small amount of marijuana on her person and more hidden in here bicycle. In addition, the officer found one Vicodin pill. The subject was issued a citation for possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
Thursday, October 30, 9:11 a.m. – Officers responded to parking Lot L when two drivers fought over a parking spot. One female driver hit the other female driver in the face and pulled her hair. He other driver began to fight back. Neither wanted to press charges and were referred for disciplinary action.
Thursday, October 30, 1:50 p.m. – Officers responded to a call from the Gardena Police Department to pick up a subject who had six arrest warrants out of the EC Police Department. The warrants added up to a total of $20,000 and the subject was booked at Torrance Police Department.
Thursday, October 30, 10:30 p.m. – A student left his wallet at a workstation in the Learning Resource Center. The student returned after five minutes and discovered that his wallet was stolen.
Wednesday, October 29, 10:18 p.m. – A cadet was conducting a random handicap placard check in parking Lot C. The cadet saw a driver place what he believed was contraband in his front pocket. An officer responded to the scene and asked the driver if he had any illegal substances. The subject denied he had any illegal substances when asked the first time. He eventually pulled a pipe out of his pocket with marijuana inside of it. He was issued a citation.
Tuesday, October 28, 6:48 p.m. – Officers responded to the Art and Social Sciences Building when a female slipped on some stairs. She suffered abrasions on her knees, hands, and wrists. She refused paramedics and her father was contacted.
Monday, October 27, 8:10 p.m. – An officer pulled over a vehicle on Crenshaw Boulevard for a vehicle code violation. The driver had an expired license and was issued a citation. Her vehicle was left legally parked.
