On Friday, Sept. 5, at approximately 6:40 p.m. in the lower level of the lot F parking structure, a female student was walking to her vehicle unaccompanied while listening to music when she was approached from behind by an unidentified suspect, who put his/her hand over the student’s mouth and their left hand over her inner thigh.
The victim elbowed the suspect and began to scream, prompting the suspect to run.
The victim did not see which direction the suspect ran.
The only description was that he/she was wearing white tennis shoes and gray sweat pants.
His/her hands also smelled strongly of tobacco product.
Students are advised to be alert of their surroundings and report suspicious activity to campus police.
Students should also not walk to their vehicles alone and utilize the Campus Courtesy Shuttle if they have to be alone at night.
Anyone who has any information about the suspect or the incidents is asked to contact campus police.
