Police looking for employees
Work is available at the EC Police Department for qualified individuals interested in being a cadet. Interested persons should fill out an application packet available in the Job Placement Center and turn in at the EC Police Station. For more information, call the CSO desk at 310-660-6758.
Activity Center job fair today
Seasonal to full-time jobs are coming to EC as the Career Placement Center hosts its sixth annual Seasonal Job Fair today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Activities Center. More than 25 employers, including FedEx, UPS, CRI, Staffing, Costco, U.S. Army, LAPD and the LA Sheriff’s Department, will be represented at this event. Transfer fair set for next week
Looking to transfer to a state or private university? The Career and Transfer Center is sponsoring a university fair to take place on the library lawn next Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Representatives from various universities and colleges will be present to answer questions about their institutions from transfer and admission requirements to financial aid and academic programs. USC transfer trip planned
Transfer Day at USC is Friday Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the USC campus. The program will feature an admission presentation, financial aid workshop, academic department fair and campus tour. A bus will leave from EC’s parking lot D at 9:30 a.m. and will return to EC at 3 p.m. Students interested in joining the tour group may sign up at the Transfer Center which is located on the first floor of the Student Services Building.
‘Drop day’ set to arrive soon
The final day to drop without a notation on one’s transcript is Friday, Sept 23. Students wishing to quit any classes without a “W” on their permanent record should drop those classes through the admissions office by Sept 23. Graduation petitions due
Students intending to receive a certificate or graduate this semester need to file their petitions or intentions with the college. The filing period is Sep. 6-Oct. 13. To file, students should go to the Graduation Evaluation Window in the Admissions Office.
