Free massages, manicures available

Women’s health will be discussed today at a forum in front of the Schauerman Library between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The forum will answer any questions women may have regarding stress management, diseases, healthy foods and physical health management. Free manicures and massages will also be offered.

Career exposition to provide help

Students may attend the annual career exposition, designed to teach how to write a resume and how to complete a job application.

One-hundred companies will be available to talk to about internships and employment.

The exposition will take place Tuesday in Student Services Room 115.

Club screens movie, hosts discussion

To expand student views of culture, the Anthropology Club will be screening the movie “Power of Myth.” During viewings, there will be discussions about the movie.

Screenings will be Tuesday and April 26, both from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the east lounge of the Student Activities Building. All students are welcome to attend.

Scholarship opportunities are still available for all students. The deadline is today.

College celebrates student workers

To celebrate student workers, students may attend the Student Employee of the Year Celebration.

The event will take place Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Activities Building.

Seminar to discuss pre-med topics

Medical students will have the opportunity to hear from guest speaker Dr. James A. McKinnell this Monday at 7 p.m. in the Natural Science Building, CHEM 103.

Admission is free and open to all interested students.

Fire department tour offers insight

Offering an inside view of the LA County Fire Department, a tour of the facility will take place Monday.

The tour will also feature a question and answer session, insight into the different careers offered in the field.

The bus will leave Lot K at 10:15 a.m. and admission is $5.

Counselor shares advice about life

Sharing advice for matters such as schoolwork, children and intimate relationships, counselor Ken Gaines is presenting a workshop Wednesday, April 20.

The workshop will take place in the Student Services Center, Room 106 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and is sponsored by the College Career Center.
