The El Camino Art Gallery will be presenting the annual “Student Show 2016” exhibit featuring current work by El Camino College Art & Photo Department students, according to the Art Gallery’s website.
Each year the Art Gallery hosts six total shows, and one of them is specific to students on campus, with all of the works in the exhibition being chosen by instructors from the art and photo departments, according to the Art Gallery’s website.
The art show based around the work of students “includes a variety of art works fabricated in a wide range of media,” according to the Art Gallery’s website.
“It’s usually between 160 to 185 pieces that comes in,” curator Susanna Meiers said. “It comes from all areas from sculpture, drawing, painting, photography and printmaking.”
The “Student Show 2016” will open from April 18 to May 5, with a Fine Arts Division Open House being held on April 22 from 5-8 p.m.
