After having its last performance in fall 2015, the El Camino Symphony Orchestra will be back to perform in the Marsee Auditorium again on Feb. 27 at 8 p.m.
The Symphony Orchestra has three concerts every year; it performs in February, May and the last show in November.
There are 60 members who are students from EC, as well as people from the community, Dane Teter, Director of the Orchestra, said.
“We have six El Camino students who are featuring as soloists (in) this particular performance,” Teter said. “Three of them are singers, and three of them are instrumentalists.”
Teter said that the members meet once a week for three hours and the Symphony Orchestra doesn’t have any awards, as they don’t participate in any competitions.
“This is not a athletic competition,” Teter said. “We are here for entertainment.”
