The play focuses on four wealthy couples attending an anniversary celebration for their common friends, Charlie and Myra Brock. After a series of unexpected events, the group of eight are challenged to discover what exactly happened at the party.
American screenwriter Neil Simon began writing plays in the 1960s. He created this farce play, “Rumors,” in 1989. The success of many of his plays have led him to many nominations and awards such as winning the Pulitzer Prize in 1991.
Talbott took on the directing role for “Rumors,” along with “As You Like It” by William Shakespeare this past fall semester at El Camino.
