An evening of dance and visual spectacle will light up the stage of the Marsee Auditorium.
“Sharing the Spotlight,” a performance led by choreographers and faculty members Jessica Kondrath and Amy Allen, will bring their unique brands of dance center stage Sept. 11.
“It’s great having two choreographers with different backgrounds,” Rick Christophersen, director of the EC Center for the Arts, said.
“The program alternates truly as a shared program. There are nine different pieces they’re going to present. It’s an opportunity for our students and surrounding communities to see performers who are working in the South Bay area.”
Kondrath will bring to life “The Movement,” a performance that will highlight the unique relationship between development and music through an artistic personification of musical score.
Allen’s performance, “Dancing in the Light,” will compliment Kondrath’s with a wholly original showcase crafted by the unity of film, dance, comedy and storyline.
The event runs from 8 to 10 p.m. in the Marsee Auditorium. Tickets are priced at $18, with an $8 offer available to students. The on-campus ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased online or by phone at (310) 329-5345.
