The Associated Student Organization (ASO) welcomed 11 new senators, and 17 division council members on Oct. 1 in the Administration Building, Room 131.

These new members will have a retreat on Friday Oct. 9 and Oct. 16 in the Administration Building from 3 to 5 p.m.

This retreat is a way to explain to the new staff what their role is as senators or council members is, Vice-President, Stephanie Pedrahita said.

ASO also approved founds for some of their utensils including:

• $30 for decorations
• $50 for office supplies
• $30 for cleaning supplies and
• $150 for a new refrigerator

Finally, the organization approved a proposition made by Student Trustee, Eman Dalili; he proposed to give President Tom Fallo a Leadership Award for his work here at EC and also give another award to the new president as a “nice gesture.”

The next ASO meeting will be on Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. in the Administration Building.
