The Warriors’ baseball team traveled to Compton Center Tuesday, losing 13-11 to the Tartars, according to CCCAA.
The Warriors opened the game close when they earned one run in the top of the first inning, but then conceded one run in the bottom of the first inning.
After EC earned one run in the top of the second inning that gave them an early 2-1 lead, the Tartars scored four runs in the bottom of the third inning for the 5-2 lead.
The Warriors then turned it around in the next few innings. EC earned one run in the top of the fourth inning, three runs in the top of the sixth inning, and five runs in the top of the seventh inning to earn a late 11-6 lead against the Tartars.
But the Warriors then conceded seven runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, giving the Tartars the final 13-11 lead for the win.
EC losing streak extends to four games, their record dropping to 9-8. They will host the Tartars Thursday, March 12.
