After competing in a four hour match, the Warriors were shutout, 9-0, by Orange Coast College in a non-conference match up Tuesday in their home opener.
“Our first match I had to share lunch with a teammate and I think that affected my game today,” tennis player, Whitney Reed said.
The only EC double team, Anthony Ya and Britton Henrickson, struggled as they continued to double fault on their serves. They lost (8-4).
The Warriors had great starts in their singles matches with of Ya and Calvin Hoo, both getting opening set wins of (6-4). Both players also had long third sets that ended (10-5,10-8).
The Warriors will look to get back on the winning track Thursday against Cypress College.
