EC women's soccer team loses by one to Harbor College
A great performance was not enough as the EC women’s soccer team (Warriors) lost 3-2 against L.A. Harbor College (LAHC), Friday.
“The differences between the two teams is that we made a couple of defense lapses and (that) caused us two of the three goals,” coach John Britton said. “Overall, it was a much improved performance, we had much physical presence this time.”
In the first half, the Warriors had a very intense time attacking offensively and not scoring.
In addition to that the LAHC, scored first in the 29 minute of the first half but seven minutes later the Warriors tied the game and the teams were tied until the 69th minute and three minutes later the LAHC scored its third goal.
The Warriors never gave up and they scored the second goal in the 75th minute by a nice corner shot.
The last minutes the Warriors tried to look for a tie but they can’t scored.
The next game of the EC women’s soccer team will be Nov. 14 against Cerritos College in the EC soccer field at 1 p.m..
