The trial for the former student accused of threatening to kill a former English professor was delayed by the defense attorney on the case after the hearing on Tuesday.
Dash Porter, 28, former theater major, is being accused of threatening to kill former English professor Cynthia Somin.
Somin, who denied to comment in earlier stories by “The Union,” left her job at El Camino in May, Assistant of the Vice President of Human Resources Roxanne McCoy said.
Porter is currently on his second lawyer and district attorney Alexander Bott said that the new lawyer is just trying to drag things on after finding “new evidence.”
“It’s a collateral discovery that won’t impact the case,” Bott said.
Porter will be back in court on Nov. 28 for pre-trial.
