News reporter for ABC7 to visit campus and speak about her experience
El Camino will host an ABC7 reporter in the East Dining Room on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
As part of the Hispanic Heritage Month, Anabel Muñoz will share her personal experiences with students as a Hispanic journalist..
“I’m so excited to meet everyone and learn how pieces of my story could help or encourage students,” Muñoz said.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Muñoz graduated from Biola University where she majored in journalism and minored in biblical studies. Her career started as a news assistant and assignment editor at KMEX Univision in Los Angeles before transferring to Palm Springs.
The bilingual reporter came to ABC7 from MundoFOX 22 where she worked as an anchor, according to the El Camino flier.
Despite being on television, Muñoz said that she can be shy at times.
“Honestly, I always get nervous before speaking in front of a crowd,” Muñoz said. “I will share some of the most inspiring moments this career has gifted me and some challenges as well.”
