Student overdoses

A female student was transported to Gardena Memorial Hospital Tuesday morning for high blood pressure induced by a methamphetemine drug overdose.

The student claimed that she had been smoking marijuana, crystal methamphetamine and drinking alcohol since midnight.

Officers recovered a small amount of crystal methamphetamine from the student. All charges will occur at a later date.

Disturbing the peace

A police officer received injuries to his right hand during a struggle with a non-student last Tuesday evening. the subject, a white male, was yelling racial slurs at studens. he has prior history wit the EC Police Department.

He is being charged for disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and being drunk in public.

The officer has recovered fully.

Privacy violated

Personal and district property was stolen when a staff member’s office was broken into last wednesday in the Math and computer Science Building. Five other offices were broken into; the police department is still investigating it.

Man fails to pay fee

An older Asian male was caught chasing a heacy- set black male. The black male evaded payment for taxicab fare. The taxicab driver identified the subject and performed a citizen’s arrest for false pretenses.
