The latest edition of the award-winning creative arts journal, “Myriad,” is almost here this spring semester, and the nine new editors are looking to put their mark on the publication.

“The Union” sat down with the editors for individual Q&As to give their readers a glimpse at the producers of the arts journal.

Our next featured editor is 19-year-old English major Tracey Shamkweiler.

Question: Do you have any struggles that might affect your creativity?

Answer: Stress, definitely takes all my creativity and my relationship with my friends and people that I am close to. If I’m writing poetry, that could affect what I say in my poetry and my writing.

Q: What inspires you to keep creating?

A: It sounds horrible, but I get a lot of my inspiration from when I’m sad. My poems (do) not necessarily end up sad, they can be very happy. Being in a mood where I’m just really down I feel like writing more because it makes me feel better.

Q: What do you enjoy the most about Myriad?

A: It’s really cool that (we) go through different stuff we got and see everybody’s own point of view and their own different creativity.
