The photographer and filmmaker, Rich Reid, will be presenting his film “On Assignment Antarctica” at El Camino College at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, in the Marsee Auditorium.
The film will guide viewers through Reid’s journey through Antartica where he spent time as a National Geographic Explorer for many years.
Ried’s film will be open to the public, $12 for general admission and $10 for senior citizens and students.
“His films are very high quality and the images are quite stunning because he is an outdoor filmmaker and photographer,” director of the Center for the Arts, Rick Christophersen, said. “His images are so beautiful and so impactful.”
This film is part of the Discovery World Travel and Adventure Series, a collection of films that showcase unique locations around the world, such as Alaska, China, and Burma.
The next film of the series, Along the Royal Inca Road by Karin Muller, will be open on Monday, Nov. 26 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
