"Due Date" doesn't deliver many laughs

Have you ever wondered what not to do on a Friday or in the near future? Do not make a due date to watch “Due Date.” The film had a lot of promises but did not deliver.
Most of its comedic scenes were spoiled by the previews. Robert Downey Jr. played Peter Highman a father-to-be who tried everything he could to get to his pregnant wife. He faced a lot of obstacles mainly caused by Zach Galifinakis who played Ethan Tremblay. Robert Downey Jr. has definitely made a comeback playing the angry man role, as seen in such movies as “Iron Man” and “Iron Man 2.” Who would have thought after his personal issues, he would be able to give really good performances especially in the angry man roles? Zach Galifianakis was funny, and used his success of “The Hangover” to bring audiences to the theater.
Ever since “The Hangover,” movies of this nature have been trying to copy its success. “Due Date” was not the first film since “The Hangover” to copy its success. Movies such as “Get Him to the Greek,” tried and have also failed. In the commercial promotion of “Get Him to the Greek” they said that it holantinggame.net is the next “Hangover” or is as funny as that movie. These production companies realized “The Hangover”s” mass success and tried to capitalize on it.
Opening weekend, this movie came out second place to “Megamind”. Many articles and moviegoers said it was because “Megamind” was a cartoon and that at least three people would attend that movie as compared to a couple watching “Due Date” for a date night.
Regardless, if the film had a good enough leg to stand on, it still would have done well. There is definitely no rush to see this in theaters. A red box movie rental or netflix would suffice.
