In the album Passion, Pain, Pleasure, Trey Songz showcases to the world that he is definitely a talent in the R&B music scene.
Songz covers a wide range of subjects on the album which, in turn, makes the album more dynamic than his last three.
With songs such as “Please return my call” and “Just need me” Songz softer side is shown and attempts to explain how there are certain woman even he can’t handle.
The album, however, does not have a generous amount of featured artists.
Guest appearances by Drake and Nicki Minaj on “Usual” and “Bottoms Up” fall short of delivering the great verses that we’re used to hearing from them.
“Blind” is a great mix between r&b and rock which gives the album a whole lot of life and energy.
Songz has always had the ability to attract listeners to the dancefloor and never seems to lose an audience’s attention.
With this album, there are more storylines that men can relate to. Songs such as “Unfortunate,” which explains a woman leaving a good man for the wrong guy. Songz explains how that’s an unfortunate move knowing that he was the best possible man for her.
Any Trey Songz fan will notice his development and his determination improve from his last efforts
