    Enjoy a day of Arts and Crafts by the Beach

    The Torrance Craftsmen’s Guild and Society presents a show and sale by members of the Torrance Artists Guild and South Bay Watercolor.

    The event is free and takes place at Miramar Park, 201 Paseo de la Playa from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. the first Sunday of every month.

    Second Annual Tour of Creative Studios

    Students interested in art and architecture are welcome to participate in a tour of local artists’ homes and studios, sponsored by the Friends of Redondo Beach Arts, to benefit the Power of Art 2008.

    The self-guided tour includes soothing music and shopping at a boutique of original art and crafts.

    The event takes place Saturday, Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 5p.m.

    Satirical Comedy Troupe to Perform

    Washington, D.C. satirical comedy troupe of former Capitol Hill staffers puts the “mock” in democracy with song parodies and skits skewering Republicans and Democrats alike.

    The troupe performs Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3 and 4 at the Armstrong Theatre, 3350 Civic Center Dr. Torrance.

    Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Concert

    Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds were awarded the Best Album award at the 2008 MOJO Honours ceremony this week in London.

    Odissi Dance Ballet Comes to Marsee

    VICC presents Odissi Dance Ballet ‘Devi Mahatmyam’- Glory of The Divine Mother by Nandita Behera and students and Indian Classical Insturmental Music by Suman Laha Saturday, Sept. 20 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Marsee Auditorium.

    Summer Manhattan Beach Arts Festival

    A late summer arts festival on Mahattan Beach Boulevard with arts and crafts booths, workshops and international food. Live bands and DJs will be performing throughout the day.
