Master class led by soprano
Rosa Lamoreaux, singer, and Betty Bullock, accompanyist, are conducting a master class today from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Marsee Auditorium.
Lamoreaux and Bullock will also be performing in Marsee Auditorium tomorrow.
Jazz Ensemble performs in hall
The music department presents “Jazz Music at El Camino College” on Monday at 8 p.m. in the Robert Haag Recital Hall. The combined jazz ensembles of the Big Dance Band and the Jazz Band will be directed by Kurt Festinger.
“Come out and enjoy the sounds of classic and contemporary jazz music,” Festinger said.

Controversial art discussed
Gallery C in Hermosa Beach is presenting Roger Kimball lecturing on “today’s most controversial voice in art,” tonight at 7 p.m.
A suggested donation of $20 will be collected to benefit Los Angeles County Museaum of Art educational programs.

Country singer returns to RHE
Country music singer and guitar player Boomer McLennan will be performing at the Harlyne J. Norris Pavilion in Rolling Hills Estates tomorrow at 6 p.m.
McLennan, who has opend for Alan Jackson, Lee Greenwood, and Tracy Lawrence, is returning to the Pavilion for a western party which will feature line dancing and Texas-style wood-pit barbecue.

Soprano to sing classical peices
Soprano Rosa Lamoreaux and pianist Betty Bullock will be performing tomorrow at 8 p.m. in Marsee Auditorium.
The performance will feature works by Mozart, Schubert, Poulenc, Gernshwin, and Porter.
Lamoreaux has been hailed as having an engaging and effortless singing voice.
There will be a pre-concert interview with the performers at 6:30 p.m.

Portugal shown in cinema series
“The Best of Portugal” will be shown Monday as part of the World Travel Cinema Series at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Marsee Auditorium.
Each film shown as part of the series features live narration by the film’s director.
