Comedy tale of a woman’s two egos
The Torrance Cultural Art Center Foundation is presenting “Vicki Lawrence and Mama,” a two-woman show, in the James Armstrong Theatre tomorrow at 8 p.m.
Audience members may see stand-up comedy, songs and true life stories from Lawrence and her alter-ego, Mama.

Tweaksters to play
Torrance art show
The Torrance Cultural Art Center Foundation is presenting its Peanut Gallery Series performance of the Tweaksters in the James Armstrong Theatre on Saturday at 10 a.m. The performance is geared toward young children and will run for 50 minutes.

Art festival coming to Cultural Art Center
The Torrance Cultural Art Center will be presenting “Arts Alive 2005” on Saturday.
The event will feature hands-on activities and will include arts, craft and food booths.
There will also be live entertainment in the James Armstrong Theatre from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. immediately following the Tweaksters performance.

Curtain rises on ‘Othello’ in Marsee
Center for the Arts is presenting William Shakespeare’s “Othello: the Moor of Venice” Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Marsee Auditorium.
This production of a play which deals with topics of racial sensitivity, paranoia and true love is directed by Geoff Elliot and Julia Rodriguez Elliot.

Award-winning trio to play Marsee stage
Center for the Arts is presenting the Claremont Trio on Sunday. The trio was called “one of the most exciting groups performing today,” by the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Performances will take place in Marsee Auditorium on Sunday at 7 p.m.

Cinema Travel Series ‘Sails down to Rio’
“Sailing Down to Rio on the Queen Mary 2” will be shown Monday as part of the World Travel Cinema Series at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in Marsee Auditorium.
