The men’s basketball team lost at Long Beach City College on Friday 68-55. EC has lost eight of their last 11 games and sit fourth in the conference.

The Warriors went down early and never came close to making a comeback. They trailed by as many as 15 points toward the end of the game.

Freshman forward Malik Wildermuth earned a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore guards Derrick Twiggs and Patrick Rittmon contributed three assists each.

EC has struggled away from home and their record shows it. They are 1-4 on the road. The Warriors’ 3-point and free throw percentages are also in the bottom ten in the state at 28.2 and 58.5, respectively.

The men’s basketball team hosts Cerritos on Jan. 14 at 7 p.m.
