Volleyball team sweeps Harbor again

Driving through the lane, Christian Clark was met by two EC Compton defenders.
Without hesitation, he passed the ball to Mario Nored, who threw down a thunderous dunk.
The men ended up losing its first game to Compton, 86-61 in the Paul Landeraux Classic.
The Warriors were able to rebound in the next game to defeat West L.A., 63-53.
“We’re all just trying to find our groove,” Wendell Lee said. “We just need to continue to build our chemistry day by day.”
After getting hyped up in the locker room the team was able to carry that energy onto the court.
“I love those guys,” Lee said. “The atmosphere of college basketball felt good.”
Next for the men is a home game against Grossmont College Wednesday at 5 p.m.
Stepping on the court for the first time and getting rid of the early season jitters has the team excited for the rest of the season.
“It felt great to finally get busy,” Nored said.
Along with the men’s basketball team, the women’s basketball team was also able to come away with a victory in its season debut.
It defeated Hancock College, 104-74, in its nonconference season opener.
Noelini Tuiasoa, forward, led the team with 42 points, seven rebounds and four steals.
