Reality TV is the most exciting genre on Tv. Why? Because it’s filled with real life drama and who doesn’t love some good juicy drama? The reality shows are very entertaining they keep me connected and wanting to tune in every week.
I literally program my TV to record all my favorite shows. Just to name a few “Teen Mom”, “Dance Moms”, “Cat Fish”, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and the list can go. I rather record them so I could zoom through the commercials and get straight back to the show.
My mom and I watch the shows together so it’s great while I’m zooming through the commercials we briefly talk about what we just saw. Sometimes if what I saw was really exciting I may just pause the show and express what I have to say that very moment then continue to play it. I enjoy the feeling of after watching the show and being in so much shock of what I just saw and dying of excitement to see the following episode for next week.
I feel that one reason why people enjoy watching reality TV in spite of all the drama is that people are allowed to get great fashion tips from the celebrities. Watching “Keeping up with the Kardashians” I enjoy seeing what the ladies have on and where they are going to shop at.
Everyone wants to look like a celebrity Right?
Another reason I feel that reality TV is popular is because it allows people to step out of their comfort zones. The show “Dancing With the Stars’ makes me want to take a dancing class like Flamingo or Tap.
Something that I’m not use to doing and taking a class like that will force me to steep out my comfort zone and to try something new and daring. Reality TV, also, can be great life lessons like the show “Teen Mom.” Watching young girls raise their kids, seeing their struggle as being a teen mom, going to school, and going through life with their own daily struggles. Another show that reflects great life lessons is “True Life” the people on the show open up and share their personal struggles that majority of other people maybe struggling with as well like dating, drugs, or trying to figure out their lives.
I feel that allowing to open up to random strangers, being recorded and viewed for the world can be a healing process and could possibly help someone else going through their own struggle.
Watching reality TV is entertaining and can be helpful all at the same time.
If your not watching reality TV than your missing out!
