Should we legalize and tax marijuana?
Adrian Martin, 20
Major Fire Technician
Yes. It would be good for the economy. It will stimulate economy because the people we’re getting it from are outside the country. To use and grow it here only allows us to keep all the income earned.
Brook Ham, 21
Major, Journalism
No. I don’t think that people would be responsible for it. If they legalize marijuana, people can’t be trusted. They should not change any laws on the use of marijuana.
Bronzz Collins, 19
Major, Undecided
Yes. I would like to smoke in public. This way I don’t have to worry about the police harassing me.
Iyare Ahanmisi, 19

Yes. I think it’s good for your health. I would like to smoke in public and not worry about going to jail.
Juanite Wells, 20
Major, Sociology
No. I don’t think marijuana should bee legalize because the quality is going to go down. We would pay more for less quality.
Ferenc Fodor, 17

Yes. It would have to be taxed with a continuous currency. Also it should be rules and laws placed upon legalizing it.
Katrina Spears, 18

No. I don’t think that students will be able to focus in class. In general I don’t think that society will function normally.
Charles Horice, 18
Major, Business
Yes. I feel marijuana does not do anything but relaxes you. I think it help you focus. In regards to school it will help students pass classes. I prefer to purchase marijuana from a shop rather than off the streets.
Stephanie Espinoza, 18

Yes. Weed helps people in different ways. It help some to relax, some to concentrate and others with pain and illness. It’s no different from drinking alcohol. The law said “don’t drink and drive”. Now they would say, “Do not
smoke weed and drive”.
Joseph Doria, 20
Major, Criminal Justice
No. People will be high and driving around endangering other’s lives. They will be irresponsible.
G. Bassem, 16 (I am aware that we used this person before. He really wants to make a statement)
Major, Sex Therapy
Yes. Since everyone already smokes it illegally, we should legalize it so people won’t get into trouble with the law. It will make a lot of money for the economy both selling and using it. It helps with cancer.
Sarah Abdallah, 16
Major, Bio-Chemistry
Yes. It will clear the air of the smog because of the prosperous plants, which will clear up 200 percent of the atmosphere of the smog admissions. It will bring more funds to the government. This way they would have to pay less for the citizens they jail for smoking or selling weed. There will be less people in rehab and more taxes for the government.
Bell Jamsran, 20
Major, Bio-Physics
No. I believe we should not legalize it in a whole way only because it will hurt society. We should keep it legal in a medical since. The law should not change anything about the use of marijuana.
