Eating the food they serve on this campus instead of the tastier food served as close as across the street will cause your taste buds to recoil in dissatisfaction.
When there are so many choices nearby, eating the food from the cafeteria or the Campus Deli is too boring, ordinary and lacking in variety.
Across the street from the campus there is a doughnut and pastry shop, McDonald’s, Subway, Dominos Pizza, Bonello’s Pizza, Del Taco and a coffee shop; that is way more to choose from than the places to eat food on campus.
Eating lunch sometimes is a way to take a break from the daily grind and going off campus can be the perfect way to not just satisfy your hunger but to also refresh your mood.
Some of the food they serve on campus is a failed imitation of the food you can buy across the street; for example, look at the breakfast sandwiches.
Clearly they are trying to imitate McDonald’s Egg McMuffin’s; only they do it all wrong using sliced bread instead of English muffins and serving a sandwich that does not stand up to the consistency and quality of the original.
If EC were located in some remote location where restaurants such as Chong’s and IHOP were not mere steps from the campus, it would make sense to be forced to tolerate the less than tasty food served on campus.
But the fact remains that EC is wonderfully situated within close proximity to all kinds of eating and lounging options.
Next time one finds themself starved for some food while stuck on campus, he or she should not feel compelled to eat there.
Going off-campus is a great way to take a break and get some decent food.
