How long have you been director of finance in ASO?
I’ve been the director of finance for one year; since fall 2007.

What motivated you to become director of finance?
I wanted to climb the ASO ladder and have more of an active say in student life. It’s a great experience for me because I’m a business major.

What purpose does ASO serve to the students?
We are the voice to the administration. We deal with student problems/issues.

As the director of finance, what is your job?
I’m the chair of the finance committee. I deal with finance items and I approve the final budget.

How does your job get difficult?
People might not be on the same motivational level pertaining to certain issues.

How do you feel about the ECC budget cuts?
It might hurt the school a little bit, but I think it will move us forward.

How long have you been attending EC?
For two years.

What are the requirements for a student to become a member of ASO?
They must have a 2.0 GPA, six units and an ASB sticker.

Are there any special events hosted by ASO?
We just had the candidates rally and on May 21, we’ll give academic awards to students who have a 3.7 GPA with outstanding service on campus.

What type of students should join ASO?
Anyone who is interested in being motivated, meeting faculty, other students, build friendships, intelligent and can work within a cohesive group.

Where can students go to obtain information about joining ASO?
Students interested can come to the executive office located in the Student Activities Center, Student Development Office or go to the school website. It’s a great experience and I highly recommend it.
