Campus Viewpoints: Should EC abolish the winter session forever?
Justin Clayton 20, Fire Technician major
“No. I think the winter session should be offered. I know a lot of people may want to go, but there are a number of people who need to attend, so they can get out of here within two years.”
Nic Clark 20, Psychology major
“No. Without the winter session students are forced to stay here than they intended because there are transfer students that need specific classes in order to transfer.”
Namhee Kim 20, Biology major
“It’s horrible that we have to go to different colleges to take courses that we need. Even if they have to cut down on the classes offered, they should not cancel the entire session.”
Alicia Sprague 18, Theater English
“Canceling the winter session opens the door for them to cancel other classes. The cancellation forces students to go to other colleges to get the courses they need.”
Yoshi Otobe 24, Journalism major
“It bothers me that they canceled the winter session, because I needed to take classes and now I have to go all the way to Santa Monica College, and I don’t live anywhere near there.”
Patrick Yi 20, Computer Science major
“Now I have to go to Santa Monica College to get the classes I need, because I have to transfer next year. If it’s a matter of money, they should make people pay more.”
