El Camino hosted its annual Homecoming Carnival on Tuesday and Wednesday on the Library Lawn, providing all sorts of entertainment for students including games, music and pie throwing.
The Library Lawn was filled with game booths to test skill and win various prizes with prizes at the ASB (Associate Student Body) booth that ranged from AMC movie theater tickets, to raffle tickets and mystery prizes to be announced at the Homecoming Dance on Saturday at 9 p.m.
For the hungry and the thirsty, there was no shortage of carnival snacks consisting of nachos, donuts, candy bars, cotton candy, bottled water, soda and a variety of juices.
There were carnival goers playing water pong as well as throwing pies in the face of students including Neziah Nesbeth, 21, political science major, who volunteered at his booth known as the EC Honors Guidance Club.
“The games are fun, because when you see people get pied and you see people get hit in the face with butter, and it’s like honey,” Nesbeth said.
Erik Jensen, 21, astro physics major, attended the carnival to cast his vote for Homecoming king and queen.
“I voted for Sierra Noguera and Nathan Nobleza, who represent Alpha Gamma Sigma,” Jensen, who’s part of the (AGS) Honors Society, said.
Edgar Tejada, 25, computer science major and Inner Club Council president, attended the carnival to enjoy the people having fun.
“They sell cupcakes, donuts and paying to hit the guy with a pie in the face (is fun), because I enjoy doing that slapstick humor,” Tejada said.
