A scooter narrowly missed striking a car in front of the Administration Building Tuesday morning, EC Police Chief Michael Trevis said in an email.

Around 7:15 a.m., a male tried to avoid hitting a car making a left turn in front of him, swerved, lost control of the scooter, and laid it down on the pavement according to the email.

Trevis added, “He did not collide with the car but barely missed it. The driver suffered minor abrasions.”

Trevis said the California Highway Patrol took charge of the incident and investigation.
