A fair to remember

Students will have the opportunity to talk with instructors at the “Career and Major Fair” Wednesday on the Schauerman Library lawn from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Instructors will be available to share expert information and to answer questions for students who are puzzled about their majors and careers.

Sergeant honored

Sgt. Kirk Johnston of the Campus Police Department was honored with an award from the California College and University Police Chiefs Association April 8.

Johnston has been serving the EC community and students for more than 18 years. This honor was awarded to him for his extensive efforts in protecting and serving.

Depression workout

Students may sign up for the “Understanding Depression” workshop Monday at 11 a.m. in the Health Center.

Psychologist Ruth Taylor will discuss the symptoms of depression and offer techniques and solutions on how to control it.

Students may apply for fall 2004 “Financial Aid” Wednesday at noon in the Student Services Center, Room 208.

Boost self-esteem

Career counselor Ken Gaines will present a “Self-Esteem” workshop Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Room 106 of the Student Services Center.

Students will learn techniques on how to improve their lives, resolve self-doubt and manage their feelings.
