Work on depression

Students may sign up for the free “Understanding Depression” workshop Wednesday, at 10 a.m. in the Health Center.

Psychologist Ruth Taylor will discuss symptoms of depression and offer solutions on how to cope.

Tour du jour

Students may take the Art Center College of Design tour Tuesday and learn about undergraduate majors in advertising, environmental design and more.

The van departs from lot K, near Campus Police, at 8 a.m. and is expected to return at approximately 5 p.m.

A refundable $5 deposit is required at time of signing. Students may sign up at the Transfer Center or call (310) 660-3408 for more information.

CSUs on campus

Students will have a chance to meet with CSU representatives on the following dates: Cal State L.A., by appointment, Monday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Cal Poly Pomona, by appointment, Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Cal State Northridge, drop-in Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Literary deadlines

Our Voices magazine, featuring essays of writers in English B, A, 53-B, and ESL A-X, wants students work. Deadline for entrys is Tuesday, April 8. The first place winner will win $50, second place $25, and third place $25.

The Myriad literary arts journal submissions deadline is also Tuesday, April 8 and may be dropped off at the Humanities Division Office in the Communications Building Room 201.

Union takes a break

The Union will not be coming out until April 22 due to spring break and budgetary cuts. During this time the Union staff will also be attending a journalism conference.
