A women awakens to hearing her best friend questioning her fiance’s whereabouts. Luckily for the dumbfounded women it’s coming from the answering machine, because she just realized, he’s sleeping next to her.

“Something Borrowed” is your typical romantic comedy, it’s 100 percent predictable, entertaining enough to keep watching, and packed with enough laughs to keep you chuckling to the end.

Luke Greenfield, most recognized for directing “The Girl Next Door,” based his latest movie on Emily Griffin’s international bestseller of the same name. As director to the film he succeeded in uncovering the secret that gives every romantic comedy it’s charm, but failed in creating enough originality to set it apart from others in the same genre.

Ginnifer Goodwin stars as Rachel White, an unhappy 30 year old lawyer who can’t help but be submissive to her selfish, attention grabbing best friend, Darcy Rhone played by Kate Hudson. Colin Egglesfield stars as Darcy’s indecisive fiance Dex Thaler, and John Krasinski delivers a standout performance as Ethan, Darcy and Rachel’s childhood friend.

After having too much to drink and sleeping with Dex, her best friend’s fiance, Rachel finds herself in a massive predicament. Keep seeing Dex and betray Darcy, or keep their lifelong friendship, and let the guy that she’s liked since law school marry someone else.

With only a few surprises, and the usual ending “Something Borrowed” ends up being a movie that would best be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home on Blu-ray or DVD.
