For the convenience of students on campus, construction has finally made progress as CAFE Camino finally opened for business Mondnay.
CAFE Camino was a much needed food venue for students as it is in a central location to campus.
Teriyaki, salmon, burgers and vegetarian fare are among the many varieties of food offered, along with fountain and bottled drinks and coffee as well.
The CAFE also opens at 6:30 a.m., offering many options for breakfast.
The area surrounding the new café is also a good environment for a college, after months of what looked like a war zone.
The landscaping around the cafeprovides an aesthetically pleasing place for people to sit and hang out and they have been flocking to the area.
While the cafe can be considered a fringe benefit, it is welcome nonetheless by both students and staff.
What makes CAFE Camino stand out from the other food courts on campus is the atmosphere around the installment.
Other food courts like Munchies or the Campus Deli are surrounded by other buildings and are always crowded during college hour whereas CAFE Camino is better situated on campus.
The new CAFE is also more student-friendly, in comparison with the other food courts such as Munchies were it uses a “barrack style” bungalow, which makes for bad traffic flow.
Not only does the CAFE offer a number of foodstuffs inside the CAFE, there are three vending machines located on the side of the building, offering even more choices for hungry students and staff alike.
Although CAFE Camino was originally scheduled to open in the winter, it was well worth the wait for students, now that those in the Humanities and Math and Science Building have easier access to food venues on campus.
