Removal of ASO president unclear

Last Thursday, EC’s Associated Students Organization president, Vivian Amezcua, was removed from her position by her fellow ASO Senators.

So what happened that caused Amezcua’s removal? Nobody knows and if they do know, they aren’t saying.

Her reluctance to address the issue raises suspicion as to what she did that provoked her removal.

As the president of the student body, Amezcua should feel obligated to tell everyone what happened.

Since she represented the students, they deserve to know what happened and why.

We encourage her to come forward with her story.

Did Amezcua fail to maintain the required 2.0 grade point average?

Maybe she didn’t meet the six units a semester requirement that all ASO candidates and appointees must meet?

Or perhaps she forgot to pay for her $10 Auxiliary Services Board sticker?

Whatever the reason, it’s all speculation until Amezcua gives everyone an explanation.
