Officials offer free parking for first two weeks of spring semester

Parking at El Camino College will be free during the first two weeks of the spring 2020 semester, officials said.

No permits will be required to park in student lots until Saturday, Feb. 29, ECC Chief of Police Michael Trevis confirmed with The Union.

However, students parked in staff or faculty parking, drop-off zones and red zones will be cited by ECC police, Trevis said.

Students can purchase their permit, which grants access to several parking lots, at the Cashiers Office or purchase a $3 daily pass.

Other law enforcement agencies will continue to enforce parking outside of ECC, including El Camino Village’s residential areas and Alondra Park.

Students parking at Alondra Park risk being cited by the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department.
