With an all night disc jockey and great food, homecoming is expected to be one of the best at EC Nov. 7, Philip Stokes, representative of the Inter-Club Council and student government, said.
“We’re really excited for the opportunity,” Stokes said. “The theme this year is disco fever.”
Beginning Monday Nov. 2-5 is spirit week. On Nov. 2, students are encouraged to wear school colors day
Nov. 3 is “disco fever day” where students are encouraged to wear disco attire. Nov. 4 is “nerd day” where students are encouraged to dress like nerds.
Nov. 5 is Trojan or Bruin day where you wear USC or UCLA colors.
“There will also be a pep rally on Nov. 3 on the Schaureman Library Lawn and on the Student Activities Center,” Stokes said.
The football game against Citrus College will be, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. at Murdock Stadium.
Admission is free with ASB sticker and $6 without the ASB sticker.
During spirit week, students can vote for homecoming king and queen in the Student Activities Center Nov. 3-4 between the hours of 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4 p.m.-6 p.m.
“Only club members can run for Homecoming King and Queen,” Stokes said.
On Election Day, students must have a photo ID in order to vote.
In addition, students can only vote once and choose one king and one queen.
“Winners will be crowned at the homecoming dance and the runner-ups will be crowned as well,” Stokes said.
Due to the budget cuts, homecoming has been affected leaving “Disco Night After Party” a R.S.V.P. event for club members only.
“ICC has done a great job adapting to and with what they’re given,” Stokes said.
