Losing streak continues for El Camino men’s soccer team

The El Camino men’s soccer team has yet to find a win this season.

It added another loss to their record after falling to Santa Ana College, 2-1, last Friday.

Coach John Britton said in three out of the past five games, it has allowed a goal in the last minute of the game.

Inexperience is the main reason why this team is off to a bad start, he added.

“We only have a few players that are returning,” Britton said.”Being a young team has cost us. These guys have the potential to keep on getting better, but it’s just (not having_ the experience of playing together, that keeps us from winning.”

In five games, the Warriors have scored three goals while they have surrendered 10 to opposing teams.

Looking for their first win of the season, the Warriors (0-4-1) play game six of the season Friday at home against Oxnard College. The match is set for 4 p.m.
