EC women's soccer team loses 4-1 to Mt. SAC

To play aggressive wasn’t enough for the EC women’s soccer team, they lost 4-1 against Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. Sac) on Friday at Oct. 24

This was the second time that the warriors played against with Mt Sac in the season, and the first time they played were Sept. 30 and the warriors also lost 3-1.

“The scores are similar but I think this time, it sounds funny to say this, we lost by more this time and we played better, we battled the whole 90 minutes,” coach John Britton said.

During the first game the Warriors had good entrances but they couldn’t score.

In the 11th minute Mt. Sac scored the first goal of the game, but 10 minutes later the Warriors scored by a penalty kick by Rylie Cole freshman.

“It was just a mistake from the back, we could it just marked better again we just need to mark tightness,” No. 17, Ashley Mercado, 20, freshman said. “We need to pick up our communication and talk to each other and make our place better.”

In the second time two warriors got a yellow card, sophomore Kristyn Houts and freshman Jordan Alvira.

“I feel like we worked hard and we went even match and our shots were up eventually,” sophomore Melissa Paramo said.
