The El Camino Horticulture and Environmental Club will be hosting the 2015 Earth Day Program on April 22.

According to a newsletter from the Coordinator of the Earth Day Project, Reginald Fagan, there will be a variety of “Earth friendly services and products” available at the event.

In the East Lounge of the Student Activities Center an array of workshops will be available to those who attend: soil testing, fishing, composting, container gardening, scuba diving, irrigation during a drought, watershed management, urban forestry, camping, native plant cultivation and horticulture therapy.

According to the newsletter, there will be arts and entertainment at 1 p.m., including spoken word and music that reflect the celebration of Earth.

The Horticulture and Environmental club will also be selling Earth Day t-shirts, vegetable plants and other related items at the event.

The 2015 Earth Day Program will be set up on the grassy areas between the library and student center from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
