Fall funnies comedy show opens tonight

Standup comedians, improvisational acts and musical acts will perform at tonight’s “Fall Funnies” comedy show.

The show is to take place at 7 p.m. in the Activities Center’s East Lounge.

Tickets will be sold for $5 at the door and $3 for students who show their ASB sticker.

ASO, ICC attend fall college conference

Members of ASO and ICC attended the fall conference of the California Community College Student Affairs Association, or CCCSAA.

The conference took place on Nov. 5-7 at the Burbank Hilton Airport Hotel.

“Leadership is a Relationship” was the theme of the 23rd annual conference, which was offered for student leaders and their advisers from college campuses statewide.

The conference focused on leadership skills development.

Book fair raises funds for textbooks

More than $1,500 was raised during the biannual book fair, which took place Nov. 2-4. Books, magazines, records and CDs were sold at discount prices.

Proceeds will benefit clubs Alpha Gamma Sigma and the Hands of Friendship as well as provide money for purchasing textbooks.

UC, CSU deadline approaching soon

Nov. 30 is the last day to submit fall 2005 UC and CSU applications.
