The Dance Department is inviting all El Camino College dancers to audition for the upcoming Advanced Dance Concert, Elizabeth Adams, dance professor, said.

“The pieces are being made by faculty and…a guest choreographer,” Adams said.

The auditions are Thursday Jan. 29 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday Jan. 31 at 9:30 a.m. and located at P.E. South Room 212, according to the event’s flyer.

The dancers that audition will be tested in some genres of music, Adams said.

“it’s going to be a Jazz piece, it’s going to be a ballet, it’s going to be a tap piece, and it’s going to be a modern piece,” she added.

“We welcome everyone to come to the audition. You never know what a choreographer is looking for,” Adams said. “Anyone who is interesting in coming should come and not be intimidated.”
