TV star to share bits of her life on stage

Shirley Jones, stage and television star, returns from her run on Broadway in “42nd Street’ to be on stage in Marsee Auditorium for her performance in “An Intimate Evening with Shirley Jones” Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $28 and $24.

Symphonic sounds bring diversion

The Symphony Orchestra will perform in Marsee Auditorium Sunday at 3 p.m. with Robert W. Smith’s “Divine Comedy” and Bach’s concerto for two violins. Tickets are $6.

Taking a journey to the world of India

The World Travel Adventure Cinema Series is presenting “India” in Marsee Auditorium. The film takes a journey to the Himalayas, its rivers, palaces, the wealthy maharajahs and much more.

The show times are Monday at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 and $5 for children, senior citizens and students with ID.

Voyaging through the life of pirates

The South Bay Conservatory presents Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance.” This performance will be at James Armstrong Theater tomorrow and Saturday at 3330 Civic center Drive. This takes place at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $13.

Festival features gift boutique, show

The Southern California Hand Weavers Guild and Freeway Lace presents “Festival and Sale.” The festival will have a fashion show, and gift boutique. Admission is $5 and takes place at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center at 3330 Center Drive Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
