Reliving music of classical era

Dr. Robert Haag will be performing a piano concert including an all-Mozart program.

Haag, a college trustee and former dean of fine arts, is scheduled to perform in the Haag Recital Hall Sunday at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $12 for general admission and parking is free.

The World Travel Adventure Cinema Series will be exploring “Shangri-La” in a film full of scenery, history, and culture. The film will be presented by Buddy Hatton at the Marsee Audutorium Monday at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for general admission and $5 for students, children and senior citizens with I.D.

Drama may charm the city

A modern-comedy play, “What the Butler Said,” is primiering on stage at PV Players located at 2433 Moreton St. Suite B in Torrance. until Oct. 23. Tickets are $16 for general admission and $10 for students.

Musicals to be celebrated

A fully remastered digital presentation of “That’s Entertainment!” will showcase 125 stars from nearly 100 film musicals.

It will take place at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences at 8949 Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
