Shannon Tobin, music major: “There’s a lot of things people go through in our world. Like, I wrote a song about people committing suicide. Nowadays, music is used for very negative things. Like a lot of things we hear on the radio are vulgar. But what I want to do with music is uplift people and expand their minds to more things. Not just music but math, science and things like that. The message I want to send is embrace positivity.”
